<p><!– wp:paragraph –></p> <p>Rath Yatra is a popular festival among Vaishnavites. A nine-day festival, which takes place annually where Lord Jagannath along with his elder brother Balabhadra and his sister Subhadra embark on a journey to their hometown, where they visit their aunt’s house, the Gundicha Temple. On the day of Rath Millions of devotees pull the 3 Raths or the Chariots of Prabhu Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra. Vaishnavites all over the world dance, sing, do Puja arti and feast. The Rath yatra initially started in the 12th century by King Indradyumna in Puri, Odissa, after he had a divine dream. The rituals have been carried on the same way till date. Its a festival when Prabhu is among his devotees.</p> <p>Bishnupriya Manipuries being of the Vaishnavite sect also follow the tradition of pulling the Rath / Chariot each year, same time as the Puri Rath Yatra. In BM Kaang means Chariot. BMWCA has celebrated Kaang each year since 2013 with a lot of enthusiasm. Ritualistic Puja, Prasad, Aarti and Joideb are performed by all the members present.
